Summary
So-called traditional, free and independent street prostitution, respectful of customers and of itself, is currently in decline, if not doomed. Hundreds of women are thus bound to be thrown from the street to the street; a long tradition of social customs and juridical rules, as well as an implicit health safety and 'traceability' are now threatened by the steam-roller of international mafia, that exploits Eastern European or African sex-slaves. In this unabashed pamphlet, a retired prostitute blows the whistle on dangerous and inhuman practices that reek more of the basest kind of flesh trade than of traditional and free prostitution à la française.
The author, Gabrielle Partenza, also known as Gaby, belongs to the Association for the Recognition of Prostitutes.
