Who is Jean Sarkozy? How could he achieve such a dazzling political career? What are his talents, his ambitions? What political alliances, what family networks does he benefit from – if he truly does? Does he have access to his father’s? Who are his advisers, his closest political mentors? And, most importantly, how did he become a media icon?
In order to answer these questions and many others, Jean-Marc Philibert has visited the places most crucial to Jean Sarkozy’s political, personal and love life. He has interviewed around a hundred people among his entourage, as well as his political advisers. With supporting evidence, the author shows how Jean Sarkozy is the symbol of the French Republic’s seizure by the Elysée Palace – and how, through a complex network, the town of Neuilly is to the Elysée Palace as Versailles was to the court of France.
Jean-Marc Philibert, 40 years old, is an investigative journalist. He has been journalist for the French daily newspaper Le Figarofrom 1995 to 2008. He chose to remain anonymous during his inquiry for the sake of his work’s efficiency.
